We launched Google.cn in January 2006 in the belief that the benefits of increased access to information for people in China and a more open Internet outweighed our discomfort in agreeing to censor some results. At the time we made clear that “we will carefully monitor conditions in China, including new laws and other restrictions on our services. If we determine that we are unable to achieve the objectives outlined we will not hesitate to reconsider our approach to China.”

We have decided we are no longer willing to continue censoring our results on Google.cn, and so over the next few weeks we will be discussing with the Chinese government the basis on which we could operate an unfiltered search engine within the law, if at all. We recognize that this may well mean having to shut down Google.cn, and potentially our offices in China.

We are committed to working responsibly to resolve the very difficult issues raised.

今天周三，又两天没写博客，有朋友给我写信问我问题的时候提及我最近写博客写的比较少。确实，工作了以后的生活没有多少颜色，迸发不出什么先进的思想，所以博客上也画不出什么东西来。只能想到什么，上来列个提纲，再想到，再列一个，等到积累的多了，或者有什么大事件的时候，发一篇。今天要不是看到Google的这篇新闻，估计也不会写这篇东西吧。
昨天周二，中午小组去Front row吃饭，欢迎两个新人。一个是上个学期实习的同学又回来了，一个是新来的同学，都是4个月实习。因为餐厅距离不算太远，大概走去10多分钟吧，所以我们很多人都选择走去，Alex和Mark还有一个人开车去。在吃完了回办公室的时候，Alex开车经过我们一群人的时候按喇叭，Mark在车里伸出个头来，奸笑着竖个中指。
似乎是周一的晚上，做梦又梦到杨欣了，梦到我问她，不是有新闻说你被杀害了么？她回答说，那些都是假的，我还活着。于是我就很开心。还梦到有人和我抢女朋友，但是那个人似乎是个酒鬼，经常喝醉酒，还要我去抬着他回家，什么奇怪的梦嘛。然后醒过来想想，恩，应该不会有人来和我抢果冻吃吧。
